It’s been just over 100 years since the first International Women’s Day was held in 1911. This is a day where we as women come together and celebrate our rights and who we are.
Worldwide, we should all take a moment and reflect on the many challenges and triumphs we face as women. The power of a woman transcends beyond ethnicity and culture; so let’s now join together to celebrate the women of yesterday, today, and tomorrow.
Think on Malala Yousafzai who became the youngest Nobel Peace Prize nominee in history. She bravely jeopardized her own life to stand up for girls’ education. She and other young women like her are nothing short of amazing.
Over the course of this year’s International Women’s Day, let another woman know that you appreciate her.
Be encouraged.
Be inspiring.
Be proud to be a woman.
